Rabbit anti-Human Upstream Stimulatory Factor 1 (USF1) IgG fraction polyclonal antibody

IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (MKGQQKTAETEEGT) corresponding to amino acids 1-14 of human USF-1. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

• Storage: Store at -20°C.
• Stability: Stable at least one year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody can be used in ELISA (1: 250 dilution), immunocytochemistry (1: 100 dilution) and it recognizes USF-1 (33,5 kDa) in Western blot of HeLa lysate (1: 500 dilution). Upstream stimulatory factor 1 (UFS-1) is a 33.5 kDa nuclear protein that exhibits site-specific DNA binding activating the transcription through pyrimidine-rich initiator (Inr) elements and E-box motifs. USF-1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper family and can function as a cellular transcription factor.This protein has been associated to familial combined hyperlipidemia.
• Formulation: Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
