IgG fraction from mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 8A2/H11) obtained by immunization of mice with human T lymphocytes. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

  • Storage: Store at -20°C.
  • Stability: Stable for at least one year. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing
  • Biological activity: This antibody can be used in immunoprecipitation, and flow cytometry. It also inhibits the cytolic T lymphocyte (CTL) activity. It recognizes CD2 (also known as LFA-2, or E-rosette receptor), a 50 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T cells, NK cells, cortical thymocytes and most malignant cells of T cell origin. It binds CD58 (LFA-3) to mediate cell adhesion and it is also receptor for CD59, and CD48. CD2 plays a critical role in activation of T cells.
  • Formulation: Solution at 0.5 mg/mL in PBS
