IgG fraction from mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 8B5/H5) obtained by immunization of mice with a human B cell line. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

- Biological activity: This antibody can be used in ELISA assays. It recognizes human CD21 (CR2), a 145 kDa type I integral membrane glycoprotein. CD21 is a receptor for the C3d complement fragment and for the Epstein-Barr virus, expressed on mature B cells, follicular dendritic cells, and some epithelial cells. It plays a role in B cell activation and proliferation.
