IgG fraction from mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 6B4/G3) obtained by immunization of mice with a purified human Cu/Zn SOD (16 kDa). The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.
- Storage: Store at -20°C.
- Stability: Stable for at least one year. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Biological activity: This antibody can be used for ELISA assay (1:500 dilution) and Western Blot (1:25,000) in reducing and non-reducing conditions. It recognizes a lineal epitope of SOD subunits and the SOD fused to some recombinant proteins. This enzyme is able to dismute the superoxide radical to molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide to protect cells against the toxic by-products of aerobic metabolism.
