Protein produced in genetically engineered yeast cells as a fusion with human superoxide dismutase (SOD). It covers from Ala 548 to Leu 767 of the HIV-1 (SF2 isolate) envelope protein. The apparent MW is 41,700. It has been purified by differential extraction followed by gel filtration chromatography.
