Rabbit polyclonal antibody IgG fraction obtained by immunizing rabbits with a mix of two synthetic peptides corresponding to aa14-27 (KPTKRSQNYAALRK), and aa193-205 (ERKAFPRAGPLRS) of coat protein from AMV. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

  • Storage: Store at -20°C.
  • Stability: Stable at least one year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
  • Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody reacts with extracts of AMV-infected plants in PTA (Plate-Trapped Antigen)-ELISA and Western Blot assays (1: 50 dilution). AMV is a positive-strand RNA virus with tripartite genome belonging to the family Bromoviridae. It forms bacilliform or spherical particles and is transmitted in a non-persistent manner by numerous aphids species. The AMV genome is encapsidated by a single coat protein (24 kDa) which plays a key role in early and late AMV infection, functioning in genome activation, RNA replication, and in cell-to-cell systemic movement of virus.
  • Formulation: Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
