IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (SPYVESEDAPPQKK) corresponding to amino acids 337-349 of human N-Myc. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

  • Storage: Store at -20°C.
  • Stability: Stable at least one year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
  • Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western blot assays (1: 500 dilution) using the immunizing peptide. N-Myc is a 49.5 kDa nuclear phosphoprotein that contains a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain involved in DNA binding and protein dimerization. It regulates gene expression by dimerizing with itself or other helix-loop-helix proteins and this complex binds to DNA E-box sequences of regulated genes. N-Myc is expressed in high levels during embryonic development and in the adult during B-cell differentiation. It is overexpressed in a variety of tumors, aminly neuroblastomas and is associated with rapid progression and poor prognosis.
  • Formulation: Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
