IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (HMNVQNGKWDSDPSGTKTCI) corresponding to amino acids 44 - 63 of human APP (APP695 isoform). The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.
- Storage: Store at -20°C.
- Stability: Stable at least one year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western Blot using the immunizing peptide. Amyloid precursor protein (APP) is a cell surface receptor and transmembrane precursor protein that undergoes extensive proteolytic processing by secretases to promote the neurite growth, neuronal adhesion, axonogenesis and transcriptional activation. In Alzheimer's disease, APP is broken down and releases the amyloid- beta-peptide that is found in senile plaques and vessels.
- Formulation: Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
