IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (ASKGKNKAA) corresponding to amino acids 911 - 919 of human Synphilin-1. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

  • Storage: Store at -20°C.
  • Stability: Stable at least one year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
  • Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western Blot using the immunizing peptide. Synphilin-1 is a cytoplasmatic protein that interacts with Alpha-Synuclein in neurons, and plays an important role in synaptic function, protein degradation and Lewy body formation. Mutation of this protein has a role in the formation of aggregates and cytotoxicity in Parkinson's disease by defective ubiquitination and /or proteosomal inhibition.
  • Formulation: Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
