IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (MPVDPDNEAYEMPSEE) corresponding to amino acids 116 - 131 of human Alpha-Synuclein. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.
- Storage: Store at -20°C.
- Stability: Stable at least one year at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western Blot using the immunizing peptide. Human Alpha Synuclein is a soluble protein highly abundant in presynaptic nerve terminals and a member of the synuclein family. It can form filamentous aggregates that are the major non-amyloid components of intracellular inclusions in several neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer and Parkinson.
- Formulation: Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
