Protein produced in genetically engineered yeast cells as a fusion protein with human superoxide dismutase (SOD). It covers from Asp 166 to Arg 440 (D Ala 313 to Ala 331) of the HTLV-I envelope protein (isolate ATK-1). The apparent MW is 44,500. It has been purified by differential extraction followed by gel filtration.
