Protein produced in genetically engineered yeast cells as a fusion protein with human superoxide dismutase (SOD). It covers from Ala 548 to Lys 708 (D Val 686-Ala 704) of the envelope antigen of HIV-2 isolate UC1. It has been purified by differential extraction followed by gel filtration.
