Rabbit Anti-Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV). WHOLE SERUM
Catalog no.
AS-7203-2ML
$425.00
Polyclonal antibody (serum) obtained by immunizing rabbits with a mixture of two synthetic peptides corresponding to aa65-78 (DSDFKVYRYNAVLD) and aa141-151 (NRSSFESSSGL) of the TMV coat protein.
- Storage: Store at -20°C.
- Stability: Stable at least one year at 4°C. If you freeze, avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Biological activity: This polyclonal antibody (serum) reacts with extracts of TMV-infected plants in DAS-ELISA as a capture antibody (1: 100 dilution). TMV belongs to the genus Tobamovirus of the family Tobamorividae and its genome consists of a single-stranded positive-sense RNA. The coat protein (17.5 kDa) participates in the structure and assembly of rod-shaped virions. This protein is also essential for virus replication, cell-to-cell movement and rapid long-distance movement of TMV in plants. TMV is transmitted by grafting and seeds.
- Formulation: 2 mL of whole serum. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
