Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA (1:50 dilution) using the immunizing peptide. Kaiso is a transcriptional represor that belongs to POZ-zinc finger family of transcription factors implicated in development and cancer. It binds to specific methylated CpG dinucleotides in the consensus sequence 5'-CGCG-3' and it also binds to non-methylated consensus sequence 5'-CTGCNA-3'. It recruits the N-CoR repressor complex to promote histone deacetylation and the formation of represive chromatin structures in taget gene promoters. Kaiso may contribute to the repression of target genes of the Wnt signaling pathway.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
