Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western blot assays (1: 100 dilution) using the immunizing peptide. L-Myc is a nuclear protein with two molecular forms of 60 and 66 kDa and it plays a role in the control of cell growth, cell cycle progression, neoplasia, and apoptotic cell death. It contains a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain required for dimerization and binds DNA as an heterodimer with Max protein. Both molecular forms have been detected in some carcinoma cell lines.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
