Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody can be used in ELISA (1:1,000 dilution), immunicytochemistry (1:100 dilution) and it recognizes PARK 7 (20 kDa) in Western blot of HeLa lysate(1:1,000 dilution). PARK 7, also known as DJ-1 is a highly conserved cytoplasmatic protein and acts as a positive regulator of androgen receptor-dependent transcription. The expression of PARK 7 is induced by growth signals, and it is translocated from the cytoplasm to nucleous during S-phase of the cell cycle. PARK 7 also may fuction as redox-sensitive chaperone and as sensor for oxidative stress. Mutations in PARK 7 are associated with the autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson's disease.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
