Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody can be used in ELISA (1: 50 dilution), immunocytochemistry (1: 100 dilution) and it recognizes EEA1 (162 kDa) in Western blot of HeLa lysate (1: 500 dilution). Early endosome antigen 1 (EEA1) is a peripheral membrane protein that contains a calmodulin-binding IQ motif and cysteine rich finger motif necessary for its specific localization to the early endosomes. These early endosomes are cytoplasmatic compartments which fuse the endocytic vesicles for redistribution of extracellular compounds to alternate destinations. EEA1 mediates the regulatory effects of 3'-phosphoinositides on membrane trafficking through its FYVE-type zinc finger domain.
FormulationSolution at 0.5 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
