Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA using the immunizing peptide. UCHL1 is a thiol protease that catalyzes the hydrolysis of C-terminal of ubiquityl esters and amides to generate ubiquitin monomer. It also binds to free monomer and may prevent its degradation by lysosomes. It is expressed in neurons and cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system and their tumors. UCHL1 oxidation has been observed in brains of patiens with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
