Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western blot (1:100 dilution) using the immunizing peptide. Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) or Apo-2 ligand is a cytokine that belongs to TNF family and induces apoptosis of tumor cells by binding to its receptors, TRAIL R1 (DR4) and TRAIL R2 (DR5). Both Receptors contain death domains and two decoy receptors TRAIL-R3 (DcR1) and TRAIL-R4 (DcR2) that inhibit TRAIL function. TRAIL induces apoptosis and NF?B activation in many tissues and cells.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
