Product IdPCA-2130a-9
Product NameRabbit anti-Human Survivin IgG fraction polyclonal antibody
CategoryGrowth Factors, Cytokines, Receptors and their Antibodies
SubcategoryPolyclonal Antibodies (Cancer/Apoptosis)
DescriptionIgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (EETAKKVRRAIEQLAAMD) corresponding to amino acids 125-142 of human Survivin. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.
Mol WeightN/A
StorageStore at -20ºC.
StabilityStable at least one year at -20ºC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA (1: 50 dilution) and Western blot (1: 1,000) using the immunizing peptide. Survivin is a 16 kDa apoptosis inhibitor protein (IAP). It binds and inhibits the caspase-3 proteolytic activity and controls the checkpoint in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle to promote cell division by the control of microtubule stability and assembly of a normal mitotic spindle. Survivin is highly expressed during fetal development, transformed cell lines, human cancers and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
