Biological ActivityThis polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA (1: 50 dilution) and Western blot (1: 1,000) using the immunizing peptide. Nuclear factor kappa light chain enhancer in B cells (NFkappaB) is a transcription regulator that consists of two subunits, 50 kDa DNA binding subunit (p50) and 65 kDa transactivation subunit (p65/Rel1A). The p50/p65 heterodimer predominates in many cells types. p65 shows a weak DNA-binding site which could contribute directly to DNA binding of the NFkappaB complex. The inhibitory effect of IkappaB upon NFkappaB in the cytoplasm is exerted primarily through the interaction with p65 subunit.
FormulationSolution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial.
